Our liquid formula was designed for one purpose: safely cleaning sensitive coated optics. We have tested and refined it for over a decade, and each wipe is just damp enough to wipe grease away and evaporate. It is made up of roughly 75% purified water, 25% isopropyl alcohol, and less than 1% proprietary surfactants. The alcohol is there to cut skin grease.
There are common misconceptions about using a product containing alcohol to clean surfaces like the ones we’re talking about, and that’s because there are different kinds of alcohol, and not all of them are safe. Furthermore, one must consider if alcohol is being used at full or reduced concentration. Since we use isopropyl alcohol, which is perfectly safe for this purpose, and we use a very weak concentration at that, you can be confident that our product will not cause any damage to the surface itself, its coatings, or its response capacity.
